8th Grade Christikon Onsite Trip

What is Christikon? Christikon is a ministry of Lutheran congregations that is based in an outdoor setting in the mountains of southern Montana which offers experiences grounded in and shaped by the gospel of Jesus Christ. This year, we are creating a trip for those who have completed 8^th grade (by July of 2025) to travel to Christikon and spend the week onsite, hiking, worshiping, playing all camp games, bonfires and more. A unique aspect of the on-site program is that students stay in cabins with students from all over the country, not just Bethel! They also get a “taste” of backpacking with an overnight on trial.

Dates - Bethel youth will attend Christikon from July 19 - July 27 2025 (includes 2 travel days). We will leave Bethel VERY early on the 19^th and return in the evening of the 27th.

Transportation – We will be traveling to Christikon in 12 passenger vans with the 9th grade backpacking crew.

Cost: $855

In addition, you also will need enough money for 3 lunches and 1 breakfast. $150 non-refundable deposit is due with registration.

Registration is due by December 15 to reserve a spot. In the case of a cancellation after January 1st, you will be responsible for the entire cost of the trip. Please make checks payable to Bethel Lutheran Church.

How interested are you in fundraising?

VERY! I intend to fundraise as much as possible! I will participate in a few fundraisers, but not all of them. I think I will take this year off from fundraising. I'm not sure yet.

Optional: Please list 1 person you would like in your cabin group. We will do our best to place you with at least one friend.

I understand that $150 is due now to reserve my spot. The total cost of the trip will be $855 and if I need to back out after January 1st for any reason i will be responsible for any costs we cannot get back. I realize there are additional forms to fill out as we get closer to the trip, including behavior and expectations covenants. You also will need proof of a physical in the last year.
